Artdeco Beauty Box Duo

Hey everyone! Hope you're all fine :)

Uni is giving me such a hard time again, I have exams in two weeks which is stressing me out at the moment. I won't be able to blog as regularly as I hoped I would do but unfortunately exams come first, don't they. Anyway, I'm able to squeeze in a post tonight before going back to my revision, woohoo :)

I'm sure most of you are acquainted with Dita Von Teese's collaboration she did with Artdeco, a German cosmetics brand. As I don't really like her, I haven't bought any of her products but do enjoy Artdeco's standard range, especially their eyeshadows which I'm going to show you today! They have an amazingly wide range of products, loved everything I've tried so far so go have a look if you're not familiar with the brand yet :)

Their eyeshadows, blushers and concealers are designed to fit into their beauty boxes, which is basically a compact with a magnetic bottom, it holds up to 12 eyeshadow pans [or four blushers], depends on the size your going for. There are currently five sizes to chose from, I've chosen the duo box which holds two eyeshadows and a little applicator [you have to purchase the applicator individually though]. I thought this little box was perfect for throwing in your handbag so you could touch up during the day, as it also comes with a mirror in the lid. Their products are not exactly cheap [the eyeshadows are about £6 each] so I figured three shades would be enough to give them a try.

I'm sorry about the weird angle, just to show you what the box looks like without my pitiful reflection in the mirror. Also, I didn't clean it up so you can see it's well loved ha! The shades I went for are numbers 18 [light misty wood], 211 [elegant beige] and 218 [soft brown mauve] which are perfect for a muted smokey eye look. The shadows are really soft and longlasting, as well as easy to blend, although pigmentation is a lot better with an eyeshadow base put underneath. I've swatched them without a base below, they're quite shimmery as they're from the duochrome/pearl range, but they also have a matte range, glamour range and the Dita von Teese special edition shades in case you prefer another finish! Overall I really like their eyeshadows and think of purchasing some more once the spending ban is over. I'd also love to try the blushers!

What do you think of these? Have you tried any Artdeco products? If so, what are your faves?
