Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

Coral Britannia
Let's Get Naked

Happy Friday my lovelies!

Today I have another lipstick review for you, as you might have guessed from the title of this post. When Rimmel released these beauties last year, I had high hopes they would smell like the Kate Moss range of lipsticks. Unfortunately they have the same granny-like scent the original Moisture Renew range has, and I'm not too keen on that at all. But luckily there's more to them than just the scent! I really like the revamped packaging, I think the purple metallic tubes of the original range look a bit tacky and the new deep purple transparent lid is so much prettier. I've seen Lily Pebbles talk about them in on YouTube and knew I had to get my hands on them. The shades I went for are Let's Get Naked, a deep pink-ish nude shade, and Coral Britannia, a light peachy shade. First of all, the formula of these is great, they really are super moisturising, creamy, and pigmented. This also means they aren't as long lasting as other lipsticks but I don't really mind reapplying every two hours or so. They don't cling to dry patches which is great, however, they do settle into fine lines rather quickly, especially the lighter shade, which is a bit annoying. These particular shades are gorgeous nonetheless and the shade range isn't too bad at all, there are 20 shades to choose from ranging from nudes, to pinks, to reds, and even a couple of darker, vampy shades. They retail at an affordable £6.49 and are definitely worth giving a try!
