Origins Extra-Zing EnergiZing Kit

Hiya lovelies,

as you may have guessed from the title, today's review is going to be a good'un. Whilst browsing the Origins website a few weeks ago I found this GinZing starter kit. Being a big fan of the Ginzing moisturiser, it obviously went straight in my basket. It contains a full size moisturiser, travel sized Ginzing eye cream and a mini mascara, all for £23, so you're technically getting the eye cream and mascara for free. They also threw in three generously sized samples, as well as a sachet of their new Ginzing scrub. What's not to love? I won't go on about how much I love the moisturiser (you can read my full review here) because I raved about it countless times. What I do have to say though is that the eye cream and mascara are lovely. When I first opened the eye cream I was slightly worried because it looked so shimmery and pink toned, but once applied, there's not even a hint of shimmer. It claims to brighten the under eye area (hence the funny colour I guess), which I was very dubious about, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. I have really bad under eye circles so I still need a bit of concealer, but if you just want to brighten things up a bit, this is perfect. The texture is the perfect mix between a cream and a gel and it sinks in rather quickly. Although it's just as much as the moisturiser (god knows why), I'd repurchase it!
As for the mascara, it's great but I go through mascara quickly and there are a couple of amazing ones on the high street, so I don't think I'd repurchase it. That's purely down to the price tag, because it is lovely. It makes my lashes look fuller and longer and you won't end up with panda eyes by the end of the day. I urge you to pick up this kit if you haven't already, but be quick, it's a limited edition! Origins have some amazing offers going on at the minute, so it's definitely worth checking out their site (this is not a sponsored post, I just really love the brand!)

Have you tried any of the products? What's your favourite Origins product?

  1. I saw this in Boots, annoyingly it was just after I'd bought myself the moisturiser but if I'd seen it first I would have picked it up to try out the other bits. I love the sound of the eye cream, I may have to treat myself soon.
