Sigma Round Kabuki F82 brush review

Hiya lovelies! How are you all?

It's been a while since my last post, I hate not having enough time to blog every other day but uni is really giving me a hard time at the moment and with christmas being around the corner there's so much to do and..yes, browsing the Boots christmas gift guide does count! I also really want to take the time and comment on everyone's blogs as I think it's important to leave feedback considering how much time and effort goes into every single post. I also love receiving comments as well, nothing comes from nothing eh!

You may or may have not noticed I've placed two banners in my sidebar, one of which provides 10% off of your next purchase from Sigma! The code is valid throughout November - perfect to get your christmas shopping done a little earlier than last year ;) Sigma has kindly sent me two brushes to review, the F82 Round Kabuki brush and the E05 Eyeliner brush. Of course I've heard a lot of people raving about their brushes before but never tried them myself so you can imagine my excitement when these came through the post! :)

They also enclosed a hand-written letter/postcard which I really appreciated, I think it's a nice touch and makes the whole package much more personal. Also included was a leaflet how to properly clean synthetic and natural brushes which is very helpful. The gift wrapper on the left contained the Round Kabuki and I don't know if it's just me or if unwrapping things makes everything even more exciting haha!

The eyeliner brush [$10] usually comes with a black handle, of course I prefer the pink one being the girly girl I am. I'm yet to try this one though as I hardly ever wear eyeliner, I feel it makes my eyes look a lot smaller - anyone else having that issue?

The Round Kabuki however is the perfect brush if you prefer an airbrushed finish [who doesn't?]
It's bristles are so so soft but quite short and dense which makes applying liquid foundation a dream. Initially I was worried it might be too small and would take me ages to apply my foundation oh how wrong I was! After managing to take some decent pictures I finally tried it and couldn't be happier now. With $18 it's also quite affordable, somehow I always thought Sigma brushes would cost a fortune! Also if you use the discount code this brush costs you a reasonable $16.20 which works out about £10.
I browsed Sigma's website earlier and fell in love with their Mrs Bunny Essential Kit do check it out if you haven't already! Isn't it just the cutest brush set you've ever seen? I'd so love to receive this for christmas!

With Real Techniques brushes being all the rage since earlier this year, do you still use Sigma brushes? Which ones do you prefer if you use both? What are your essential brushes?

  1. Thank you so much for doing this review, I've been looking for a foundation brush that doesn't feel like I'm painting it on for AGES! Will definitely give this one a go :)

  2. I have the f82 myself and I love it for foundation. For gel liner I got the e10 because it's thinner and so easier for me to use. This friday is black friday so the perfect time to order from the US sigma site. That's how I got my sigma brushes last year. Lastly you know how I feel about comments :)

  3. I've just started my Real Techniques collection but I've always wanted to try out the Sigma brushes since everyone raves on about them and I'm always on the look out for a great brush to apply foundation with I had the same worry about the brushes being too small but usually it's fine :-) xxxx

  6. Heard about Sigma brushes but I found people selling theirs - lots of them! They didnt like the shedding of Sigma brushes and how after washing, they weren't as great as when theyre new! Im not sure if the quality has improved since those complaints though! Do update us on your Sigmas :)

I use RT and love them! :) New follower here!

    1. Did you really! I just heard everyone raving about them but I still haven't washed it yet [only used it about 4 or 5 times]. I'll make sure to keep that in view, would be such a shame! Will keep you updated :) Love RT brushes, too!
