Favourites of 2012 Pt.3 - Skin/Hair/Bodycare

Hiya lovelies!
First things first, I've hit 100 followers today! What an amazing achievement to end this year. Thank you all so much, I still can't believe how fast my little blog has grown and I really appreciate you take your time to read and comment. I'm so excited for 2013 now, one of my new years resolutions is to blog more often and I'm already looking forward to everything yet to come :)

My last post of 2012 is all about skincare, haircare and bodycare, and my favourites of each category. I had quite a hard time deciding which products to photograph, as there have been loads and loads of products I've thoroughly enjoyed using this year. Please excuse this is going to be a long post!

Skincare

It's only been this year I have started to care about my skin more instead of just using wet wipes to remove my makeup [if anything] and go to bed. A proper skincare regime has been one of my last years new year resolutions and the only one I've been able to hang on to. However I haven't found my perfect routine yet, I've tried loads of moisturisers, scrubs and masks but hardly any of them left me happy and content with what I've bought.
A mere four products made it into my favourites post, two of which being alright, my Garnier 24h spot fighting moisturiser which leaves my skin feeling velvety soft and TBS cucumber toner which has also been featured in my November favourites. My skin has been the worst this year so I've been on a constant mission to fight pesky spots and blemishes. The Garnier moisturiser however doesn't really help fighting them but it also didn't make it worse and I love using it before I apply my foundation as it's slightly mattifying. I won't go into detail about the Soap&Glory products too much, I've raved about the brand over and over again. I use both of them as a mask and occasionally use Scrub your nose in it as a scrub as well. My pores are visibly smaller after using these products and my skin feels clear and soft. I've had this tube for over a year now and there's still some left, a little goes such a long way! If you are suffering from spot-prone skin and haven't tried this, I urge you to give this a try! Also if you've discovered any super duper skincare this year, let me know please.

Bodycare

Technically, this isn't just bodycare. It also includes my favourite nailcare items and my fave scent, just because I didn't know where to put them aha. I've been loving my Chloé perfume ever since I got it in 2008 [yes, it's lasted me that long!] and although I'm a bit of a perfume hoarder and love hundreds of scents, this clean, powdery one is probably my all time favourite. Models Own has been my favourite nail varnish brand this year, I love the unique shades they come up with and their uber sparkly glitter topcoats so these two bottles represent my ever growing collection. OPI's Nail Envy has been a saviour for my brittle nails, it's quite pricey but I managed to get my hands on a duo which contained this and a free Rapidry topcoat so that was a bit of a bargain really.
Finally, the bodycare category wouldn't be complete without some S&G. I've been using their Breakfast Scrub for years now [obviously repurchased a few times, it lasts ages though] and love it even more than their Sugar Crush scrub. It smells delicious, so sweet and more than good enough to eat. Another product I keep repurchasing is their Righteous Butter which I apply before going to bed as it needs some time to sink in. Love how it makes my skin feel and smell, I keep sniffing my arm like a weirdo throughout the day! :)

Haircare

Besides going to the gym [scratch that, I won't ever go and we all know that] looking after my hair should be another new years resolution. It's safe to describe my hair as a fluffy, rumpled mess. There have been times I wouldn't even brush it, because it always looked the same, just horrible. This is before me mum got me the Tangle Teezer for my birthday in may. I've never been one to love brushing my hair and I've always started crying when I was a kid [I still do that now but shh don't tell anyone]. The TT however makes it pretty easy, even if you have tangled hair like mine because its bristles are pretty flexible and don't tug your hair. Another thing I've found to help with tangled hair is the Gliss Liquid Silk Express Repair Conditioner which smells amazing and really softens my hair a lot. It's also on offer in Superdrug right now, so why not give it a try? :)
With regard to Shampoo&Conditioner there's nothing I enjoy using more than Aussie's range. The smell of their products is lush, just like bubblegum. I'm also using their leave in conditioner spray which I forgot to photograph but it's equally amazing and I always make sure I'm stocked up on Aussie :)
So there we go, this was the last part of my 2012 favourites. A virtual hug for you if you actually read the whole post hehe!

Share your favourites in the comment section and have a wonderful new years eve tomorrow :)
I wish every single one of my lovely readers a happy new year! ♥

I really want to get my hands on Tangle Teezer, I'd be a life saver. Also, Soap&Glory products are not available in my country either so that's another lemming. And the Chloe perfume smells divine.
