Favourites of 2013 Pt.1 - Makeup

Hiya lovelies!

I hope you all had an amazing NYE! What have you all been up to? The boyfriend and I celebrated with my siblings and a bunch of our friends, which was lovely. Now that I'm sober again, I thought it was time to share with you my favourite beauty products of 2013, starting with makeup.

It's no secret that I love my Real Techniques brushes as much as most beauty bloggers do, so I obviously had to include them in this post. In 2013 I enjoyed using the Travel Essentials kit, which contains a foundation brush, a multitasking brush which is great for contouring, and the domed shadow brush. All three brushes are super soft and lovely to work with, as is the Setting brush which I use as an undereye concealer brush.

Foundation-wise I've been loving MAC's Mineralize Satinfinish foundation and Rimmel's Wake Me Up. Both are lightweight foundations with medium coverage and great staying power. I don't think I need to go into detail about these too much, as I've raved about them numerous times. Same goes for the Collection concealer which should be a staple in every girl's makeup bag. It's actually the best concealer I've ever tried. My MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre has reached Holy Grail status by now, you can read my rave review here if you like!

Now on to eyes and cheeks. I've been using Sleek's Mirrored Pink a lot this year, it's probably my favourite highstreet blusher of all times. It does look quite bright and scary in the pan but it's actually super wearable and goes with almost any look. The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is another item I can't live without. I use this daily, not only as an eyeshadow palette but also to fill in my brows. It's so pigmented and versatile! I can definitely see this being a favourite through 2014 as well.

So these were my makeup favourites of 2013! I really hope you enjoyed reading. I could of included a lot more products, but wanted to keep it short and sweet, seeing as there are two more favourites posts to come. I'm also thinking of doing a Blogging Goals And Resolutions post, do let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in reading this kind of post and don't forget to link your 2013 Favourites, too!
