Latest MAC additions

Hi lovelies,

for today's post I thought I'd show you my latest MAC additions. I first thought about reviewing each item individually, but seeing as I don't want to review every single lipstick or paint pot (you know how much I love my paint pots) I'll just show you what I've purchased from there recently. I know there are bloggers  out there who think MAC is completely overrated, however, I'm not one of them. It took me ages to actually try my first MAC products, but I've been hooked ever since and I just love everything about the brand. So let's get cracking then, shall we?

You probably know by now that I'm obsessed with lip products. Anytime I'm near a counter I just have to swatch all the shades on my lipstick wishlist (yes, you read that right, I have an actual wishlist for that). The ones I chose this time were Bombshell, which is a frost lipstick, and Crosswires, which is a cremesheen one and my favourite MAC formula. Bombshell is a lovely pearly pink which isn't too frosty aka 90s at all. I blame this purchase on Liza who reviewed this on her blog and looked gorgeous wearing it. Although unfortunately I don't have her looks, I still think it's a shade to suit every hair colour and skin tone. I love pairing this with a subtle smokey eye, although it goes with anything really, it's such a gorgeous shade! This was my first frost lipstick by MAC and I'm glad I got this as it's just as creamy and even more long lasting than their cremesheen lipsticks, without looking tacky or overly frosty.
Crosswires is actually one of the few lipsticks my mum talked me into buying. I still can't decide whether I like this shade or not, I'd describe it as a light red with a hint of coral, MAC describes this as a clean pinky orange. We'll never find out. (Edit: After taking pictures for this post over the weekend I decided to like it, and wore it several times since then, ha.). Lastly I had to get another paint pot. I actually had my eye on Vintage Selection but they didn't have it in stock so I decided to go for Rubenesque instead. This is a lovely golden-peachy kind of shade which unfortunately doesn't go on as opaque as the matte paint pots which, I must admit, left me a tad disappointed. It's nothing that a swipe of Soft Ochre underneath couldn't fix though. I love using this as a base before I apply my favourite shades from the Naked palette as the shades all go so well together. It honestly does not move all day. I can't recommend their paint pots enough!

So these were the recent additions to my little MAC collection, I hope you enjoyed reading lovelies!
Let me know your top three MAC products in the comments below.

  6. Bombshell habe ich auch, das war mein erster MAC Lippenstift und ich finde ihn klasse! Allerdings gefällt mir an manchen Tagen das Frost-Finish nicht so gut, aber das ist ja immer Stimmungssache :)
